Rhipsalis is a genus of jungle cacti, and because it is naturally found in the forest understory, bright indirect light is preferred. If you do give it a little more, your plant might develop red leaf tips, also referred to as sun stressing.

Rhipsalis aren't overly fussy about humidity, although they do grow better if the air moisture level is 50 percent or more.  It’s important to choose a well-draining potting medium to prevent overwatering. It doesn’t have to be quite as gritty as soil for desert cacti, but adding a handful of perlite or bark helps provide adequate drainage.  During the warm growing months, you can water your Rhipsalis once the top inch or two of the soil has gone dry. In winter, it’s best to let the soil dry halfway or more before giving your plant another drink.

A note on live plants

Every live plant is unique. Your plant will be cared for like it's our own and will be selected especially for you. Please note that unless otherwise identified, the plant you receive will vary from the picture provided (i.e. different number of leaves).
