Alocasia

Light

Alocasia plants thrive in brighter light conditions.

Water

Keeping the soil moist is important for these semi-finicky plants. They are very particular about their watering schedule and prefer their soil to never dry out and have it consistently moist.

Soil

Chunky soil is important for these plants, because they like their soil more moist but not too dry & not too wet, aeration in the soil is important. Our chunky potting mix is perfect for these plants.

Humidity

Higher humidity levels are ideal for these plants. Try to keep humidity levels around 60% or higher.

Bonus Tip

Alocasia have a tendency to drop a leaf as they are growing a new one. This happens because they are heavy feeders. They benefit greatly from a regular fertilizing routine.

Anthurium

Light

These tropical plants thrive in bight, indirect light. Giving them about 4-6 hours of bright sunlight a day is ideal.

Water

Never let your anthurium plants soil dry out completely, keeping it moist will help them thrive.

Soil

CHUNKY. CHUNKY. CHUNKY. These aroids love a very chunky potting mix. We use a mix of coco coir, chunky perlite & coco chips and adjust the ratios so that the mixture is more chunky than dense.

Humidity

THIS is incredibly important for anthurium, they prefer high humidity, use a humidifier to bump up the moisture around these plants.

Bonus Tip

These plants are native to a tropical environment, so if you can recreate that environment as best as possible your anthurium plants will love you. Having a humidifier, humidity or greenhouse cabinet, etc. do wonders for the growth of these plants.
