We're currently hiring for a Fulfillment & Operations Associate.
Fulfillment & Operations Associate
Full-Time, On-Site - The Fulfillment & Operations Associate is a critical member of the Lost in the Forrest (LITF) team, responsible for ensuring that retail and wholesale orders are fulfilled accurately, carefully, and on time. While this is a back-of-house role with limited customer interaction, the work performed in this position directly impacts product quality, order accuracy, and the overall customer experience. Success in this role is essential to delighting customers and maintaining LITF’s reputation for excellence.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Order Fulfillment
- Accurately pick, pack, and ship retail and wholesale orders, including plants and non-plant products
- Confirm labeling, quantities, and packaging before orders are finalized
- Package products according to established standards to minimize damage and preserve product quality
- Complete fulfillment tasks within established timelines while maintaining a high degree of accuracy
Receiving and Inventory Support
- Receive, inspect, and process incoming shipments in partnership with other team members
- Accurately count, label, and store inventory using designated storage systems
Substrate Production
- Mix, prepare, and package substrates for store and B2B use
- Follow documented formulas, procedures, and quality standards to ensure consistency
Ownership and Accountability
- Work independently to meet weekly processing and fulfillment goals
- Perform self-checks to identify and correct errors prior to shipment or handoff
- Communicate inventory discrepancies, damages, or operational issues promptly
- Take ownership of assigned tasks and understand their impact on customer satisfaction
Qualifications
Required
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to follow written procedures and perform consistent quality checks
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role including, the ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds and the ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday
- Commitment to safely use ladders and work in warehouse or stockroom environments
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and take ownership of responsibilities
Preferred
- Previous experience in fulfillment, warehouse operations, shipping, or logistics
- Love of plants and interest in plant care or horticulture
Schedule and Work Hours
- Full-time position, 40 hours per week
- Schedule may vary week to week
- Typical schedules include either four (4) ten-hour shifts or five (5) eight-hour shifts
Compensation and Benefits
- Expected hourly pay range: $18–22 per hour, depending on experience
- Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, paid vacations, and paid time off
